Our Team

Fiona Beach-MacGeagh
Director
(Boarding Schools Consultant)

With a background in International Education and Public Relations Fiona formed Beach Education in 2021. She worked for 11 years as Head of Admissions at the prestigious boys’ school Horris Hill in Berkshire and then Warminster School in Wiltshire. She worked at Monkton School in Bath before setting up Beach Education with a focus solely on Bermuda and the Caribbean. While at Warminster she placed 12 pupils from Bermuda, including a Bermudian who went on to become Head Boy. She has a real understanding of the educational opportunities that a UK education can offer pupils from Bermuda and other islands in the Caribbean.

Outside of work Fiona is a founding trustee of St Michael’s Girls’ Primary School in Uganda (Friends of St Michael’s, Uganda). This small charity is growing and now supporting more schools in rural Uganda. Fiona visits every year. Uganda is her 2nd home. She is passionate about the education of children and understands the challenges of primary education in Sub-Saharan Africa - particularly for girls.

Fiona’s home is in the UK and she is always keen to check in on the pupils she has helped to place, particularly during their first term away from home. She travels out to Bermuda and the Caribbean throughout the year to host school fairs and meet families to discuss the opportunities that are open to their son or daughter, mindful that no two schools are the same and each child is unique.

She has a wealth of knowledge about boarding school life as she was a UK boarder herself.

Favourite run in Bermuda: Old Railway track run at 6am followed by a swim at Jobson’s Cove, all before work.

Favourite activity in Grand Cayman: Sunrise paddleboard yoga on Seven Mile Beach

Exploring hidden gems in Somerset: The towns of Bruton & Frome

Steph Chapman
PA to Directors and Office Administrator

Steph joined Beach Education in September of 2022 taking on the role of PA to the Directors and Office Administrator. Fiona and Steph had previously worked alongside each other at Monkton School in Bath where a blossoming partnership began. With Steph's background in boarding school education and having attended Stonar School and King’s Bruton growing up, she has first hand experience of the many benefits of attending boarding schools in the UK.

Out of the Beach Education office Steph can be found nannying for families in Bath and Somerset.

When Steph is out of the office she spends quality time watching her partner and son on the rugby pitch, come rain or shine! She also enjoys walking their 13 year old dog in the countryside with friends and family.

Neil Speight
Director (Finance)

Neil is a Bermudian Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of Board Director, CEO and CFO business experience from a range of successful international and Bermuda companies. He is certified by the Institute of Directors with distinctions in both the Strategy and Governance modules.

Neil worked for the Bermuda Cricket Board for 16 years as the CEO and Chief Financial Officer, so it no surprise that cricket is a great passion of his.

He is currently serving on the Board of the International Cricket Council (ICC), a position that he held for 8 years previously including four years as Chairman of the Associate Members.

He has four children, two were educated in Bermuda and the UK and he has just become a father for the fourth time.

Outside of work he enjoys golf and keeps up his daily step count by running after his six year old daughter around the Arboretum.

Favourite golf holes: 16th at Port Royal and 5th at Mid Ocean
